methodology
how i counted all of this.
this dataset is based on my own viewing history. i listed every turkish
series i could remember watching, then recorded how many episodes i watched,
whether i finished or abandoned it, my rating, whether i rewatched it,
and any notes i remembered about the experience.
where i remembered an exact episode count, i used it. where i only remembered
watching something like “half,” “most,” or “almost all”,
i converted those descriptions into approximate percentages.
my estimates use
25% for “some” or “a few episodes,”
45% for “almost halfway,”
50% for “halfway,”
60% for “a good amount,”
80% for “most,” and
90% for “almost all.”
estimated viewing time is calculated from episodes watched × approximate
episode runtime. turkish television episodes can be very long, runtimes vary,
and memory is imperfect, so the final number should be read as
an estimate rather than an audit of my life choices.
